Job Description As a Security Officer Armed Campus Patrol in The Villages, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer at a busy healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and customer-focused service. You will conduct routine patrols, observe and report unusual activity, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism, teamwork, and integrity in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
- X-ray screening experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and/or public responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout hospital buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by post and shift.
- Monitor access points and key areas, help to deter unauthorized entry, and assist with visitor direction, staff escorts, and/or controlled access processes as assigned.
- Complete security-related reports and documentation, communicate observations to site leadership, and support investigations of disturbances, theft, and/or policy violations.
