As an Armed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support employees and members with professional customer service and clear communication. This is an armed post requiring an Armed Guard Card and/or License. You will document activities, respond to calls for assistance, and succeed with Allied Universal through teamwork, integrity, and a people-first culture.

Requirements

Have a minimum of 2 years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Pepper spray certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
Carry and maintain issued firearm and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, licensing requirements, and post orders.
Monitor premises for unusual activity and help to deter unauthorized entry, theft, and/or disruptive behavior through high-visibility presence.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
Control access for employees, visitors, vendors, and deliveries by verifying identification, logging entries, and directing individuals to appropriate areas.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disturbances, medical events, and/or fire-related conditions.
Observe and report security-related concerns such as damaged doors, unsecured points of entry, malfunctioning cameras, and/or lighting issues; notify appropriate contacts per post orders.
Assist with opening and closing procedures as directed, including perimeter checks and verification of restricted areas.
Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities in written reports and/or electronic systems in a clear, accurate, and timely manner.
Coordinate with site management and local law enforcement when needed, preserving scene conditions and following reporting and escalation procedures.
