As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned shelter locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and creating a welcoming atmosphere. This armed and driving role involves conducting routine patrols, remaining visible, and engaging with individuals to provide exceptional customer service. Requirements

An active armed guard card or armed guard license is required.
Must have 3 years of either military, law enforcement or armed security experience.
Must pass a physical fitness exam (run 1 mile in 12 minutes, 22 sit ups and 12 push ups).
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, or baton is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the shelter location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor entry and exit points, checking credentials and maintaining awareness of all persons entering or leaving the premises as required for an armed post.
Complete incident and/or shift reports as needed, documenting observations and actions taken during patrols or incident responses.
Follow all post orders and instructions provided by Allied Universal and site management, adapting to changing environments and conditions specific to shelter operations.
Remain alert to any potential threats and communicate promptly with supervisors and/or local authorities in accordance with established protocols.
Assist with crowd management or access control during times of high foot traffic or emergency situations as required.
