About The Position
As a Security Officer - Armed Access Control in Fort Towson, OK, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer supporting a utilities location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents. Requirements
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner at the utilities location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials, and control entry and exit of personnel and vehicles in accordance with established procedures for the utilities environment.
- Document and report any unusual activity, incidents, or maintenance needs observed during patrols or while monitoring access.
- Collaborate with site management and Allied Universal leadership to communicate security-related observations and/or concerns.
- Support emergency response protocols and assist first responders as directed in the event of an incident at the utilities location.
