As an Armed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, professional communication. This is an armed post and a driving post, supporting patrol coverage across the property while delivering a welcoming customer service presence. Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, guests, and associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Perform armed patrol duties, maintaining required firearm retention and handling standards in accordance with Allied Universal policies, post orders, and all applicable laws and licensing requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, coordinating with local law enforcement and/or management, and providing clear direction to staff and visitors as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout sales floors, common areas, loading and receiving areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter theft, trespass, and disorderly conduct.
• Complete detailed reports, incident documentation, and daily activity logs, and communicate observed hazards, policy violations, and/or maintenance issues to the appropriate contacts.
