As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine armed patrols and maintaining a visible presence. Your role involves delivering outstanding customer service, communicating clearly with clients and visitors, and upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and innovation as you help create a secure environment for all.

Requirements

  • At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • An active Department of Defense Secret Clearance is required.
  • Level III armed certification is required for positions in Texas only.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the technology-focused location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor for unusual activity and report any security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control, verifying identification, and managing entry and exit points as required by site protocols.
  • Maintain an armed presence and be prepared to respond to security-related threats in accordance with training and company policies.
  • Complete required documentation and incident reports in a thorough and timely manner.
  • Work collaboratively with other Allied Universal team members and site representatives to support a secure environment.
