About The Position

Educational Sites - <\/span><\/b>The Educational Security Officer ensures efficient and professional security operations at schools within the appointed region. This position is a working level Security Officer who actively works onsite, securing school’s buildings/properties, school staff, and students, as well as locating and deterring suspicious activities while providing a safe and secure learning environment for all campus personnel. The school Security Officer is held to a high standard of physical and mental capabilities to ensure the students, parents, and staff are protected. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p> Essential Duties / Responsibilities<\/b> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p> Work to ensure the assigned premises and/or people are kept safe and secure <\/li> Work closely and cooperatively with staff at assigned premises to ensure they are safe and secure <\/li> React and respond quickly to dangerous/hazardous situations <\/li> Monitor assigned location with high degree of attentiveness to surroundings <\/li> Communicate effectively to site team using assigned radio <\/li> Identify and correct inefficiencies, liabilities, and safety hazards at work sites <\/li> Utilize the company’s current scheduling and approving her/his weekly hours for payroll <\/li> Provide detailed information to authorities as needed <\/li> Other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or management <\/li><\/ul> Required Skills / Abilities<\/b> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p> Excellent verbal and written communication skills <\/li> Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy <\/li> Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail is a must <\/li> Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and adaptability to other related software <\/li> Judgment and high level of integrity <\/li> High initiative and reliable <\/li> Ability to work in a culture of diversity, inclusivity, collaboration, and teamwork <\/li> Must be able to pass the firearms test administered by Premier Security Solutions <\/li> Safely and legally operate a motor vehicle <\/li> Refer to the Standard Operating Procedures in Employee Manual regarding Use of Force <\/li><\/ul> Physical Demands<\/b> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p> Must be able to sit, stand, bend, or walk for 100% of the shift as needed <\/li> Must be able to quickly ascend and descend stairs and move as needed to secure premises <\/li> Must be able to quickly physically engage to de -escalate and/or respond to security or safety threats. <\/li> Must have excellent visual and auditory acuity to see, hear, and interpret observable people, things, behavior, and speech <\/li> Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds <\/li><\/ul> Position Type and Expected Work Conditions<\/b> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p> Full -Time or Part -Time, Hourly, Non -Exempt <\/li> Involves work assignments that vary in days of the week and time of day to relate to the 24/7 security operations of the client <\/li> Travel to other locations may be needed <\/li> Both indoors and outdoors possible, regardless of weather <\/li><\/ul> Required Education and Experience<\/b> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p> High school diploma or GED <\/li> Valid CPL or Active/ Retired Police ID and be able to provide documentation <\/li> Valid Driver’s License and be able to provide documentation <\/li> Required to complete any/all continued training/education classes provided by Premier Security Solutions, relevant to position <\/li> Be able to pass annual qualifications including firearm standards with duty weapon <\/li> Law enforcement, public safety, or military experience <\/li><\/ul> Other Duties<\/b> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p> Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Requirements
