About The Position

Pepsi MidAmerica is looking for an organized, energetic sales professional with a positive attitude to be the next Poplar Bluff Area Sales Manager. GENERAL FUNCTIONS: Directs and promotes the sales trade execution and distribution of Pepsi MidAmerica products throughout a limited geographical territory, to the fullest extent. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: REPORTS TO: DIVISION GENERAL MANAGER Supervises: Dedicated Sales Representatives, Merchandisers, and Relay Drivers.

Responsibilities

Develops close relationships within chain store buyers, Grocer’s associations and special accounts, to gain authorization for placement of all products, vendors, equipment and promotions.
Uses promotional and advertising dollars to directly increase sales and create new consumers for Pepsi MidAmerica products. Participate in developing trade promotions.
Maintains a close relationship with subordinates through daily activities and reports, to best determine planning and solution to problems.
Handles all sales complaints within his/her geographic area.
Participates in community and civic organization activities.
Submits daily activity reports and plans for the week.
Conducts sales meetings for his/her sales force, as assigned.
Conduct set trade rides, from first to last account, to train, develop, motivate and evaluate the salesmen, as well as evaluate the territory and build sales. Be a leader while working with the sales rep. Work a complete day from first to last account.
When necessary, work the salesman’s area.
Track and report programs and promotions sold to ensure execution of his sales department.
Enforce requirements of promotional programs with customers receiving promotional discounts.
Observe competitive activity in his/her area and make recommendations.
Responsible for staff shortages and re-dispatches.
Ensure vehicle maintenance and cleanliness is kept on schedule.
Responsible for assuring Route Salesmen check in properly each day.
