About The Position

This role is part of the Enterprise Strategic Accounts Team and acts as the Manager for the customer facing resources for our Retail Key Accounts. The Retail Key Accounts Team is responsible for coordinating all facets of Motorola Solutions’ business relationship within their assigned retail account base including demand generation, sales, strategic account planning and overall client relationship management. The Area Sales Manager will manage and lead the Retail Key Accounts Team for Motorola Solutions. This Team is responsible for sales generation, strategic account planning and overall relationship management for the targeted top tier retail accounts throughout the United States. The Area Sales Manager will be responsible but not limited to the following:

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 4+ years of documented track record of sales performance within a technology environment is required
  • Seeking 3+ years of sales leadership experience
  • Understanding of MSI radio portfolio, mobile & fixed video, and Safety & Security Ecosystem
  • Deep understanding of the retail vertical
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with a C-Level executives
  • Ability to motivate diverse cross-functional teams to action in achieving common goals
  • Ability to drive strategies with customers for Motorola success in the bid environment
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time within North America, including the potential for international travel
  • Candidates can live anywhere in the United States, near a major airport.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively develop large project opportunities encompassing a wide range of products and services (core and emerging technologies) with particular focus on next generation technology and platforms
  • Responsible for the strategy and execution of the sales team and interface with all team members in a way that drives business results and motivates the proper activity
  • Maintain target Customer intelligence data in SalesForce for a timely & accurate sales forecast
  • Be responsible for achieving both order and revenue financial performance for their assigned team’s territory by creating and maintaining a healthy team pipeline
  • Networking and Strategy Development with key Motorola Solutions' work partners
  • Accurately forecast order and revenue numbers on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis
  • Measure results in the sales funnel and account forecasts and take corrective action to ensure targets are met or exceeded
  • Function as a coach/consultant for Account Managers to drive efficiencies and contributions
  • Be aware of competition and technology disruptors that may impact your territory and partner community
  • Ability to quickly learn new key characteristics of products/solutions and communicate the value of those solutions to employees and customers
  • Understand Motorola Solutions contract terms & compliance requirements.
