About The Position

The Area Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of quality assurance activities across multiple sites. This role involves confirming requests for quality support, acting as a proactive liaison with customers, and leading a team of Quality Assurance resources. The manager will develop and implement policies and procedures, oversee site quality managers, and lead global QA initiatives. The position also includes maintaining and improving the overall quality system, managing regulatory compliance, and coordinating continuous improvement activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
  • 4 years work experience, required.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in a regulated environment, required.
  • 5+ years of supervisory or management experience, required.
  • Certification related to quality control (RAC, Six-Sigma, etc.), preferred.
  • Sufficient computer application experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Data analysis experience.
  • Training and facilitation skills.
  • Self-management and problem-solving abilities.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience in presenting and report creation.
  • Solution execution and process development skills.
  • People development experience.
  • Quality program start-up experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of quality assurance activities with various levels of risk and complexity across multiple sites.
  • Confirm requests for quality support from the site and communicate policies and procedures.
  • Act as an expert regarding selected governmental regulations for the site(s).
  • Serve as a proactive liaison with customers for quality assurance across site(s).
  • Lead a defined group of Quality Assurance resources and key initiatives.
  • Develop and implement policy and procedures for sites under responsibility.
  • Oversee site quality managers/coordinators.
  • Lead global and cross-sector QA initiatives.
  • Develop and implement processes for regulated hardware, equipment, and software systems.
  • Oversee the maintenance and continuous improvement of the overall quality system.
  • Manage the validation process and associated change control processes.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with regards to products and services performed at site.
  • Work with the continuous improvement team to direct activities/workshops.
  • Review and provide recommendations on regulatory, customer, and 3rd party audits.
  • Identify trends within the quality assurance metrics for the organization.
  • Act as the primary customer contact for QA related issues/initiatives.
  • Develop, distribute, and maintain regular management reports.
  • Compile executive level reports as required.
  • Ensure site suppliers are assessed and coordinate audits.
