This position is primarily for educational or religious purposes and should be used for providing valuable educational experiences for the Intern. It is to give the Intern an opportunity to see how principles and practices learned in their educational institutions are applied in actual work setting. Under general supervision, the Intern performs work as assigned by the area: The Area Planning & Strategy Support Internship (Project Management & Communications focus) with the United States Central Area of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is a 12-month, part-time opportunity (approximately 20 hours per week) to gain hands-on experience working with an Area Planning Manager. In this role, the intern will help support day-to-day planning and coordination efforts that move key projects forward. This includes helping track project progress, organizing timelines and tasks, preparing simple presentations or reports, and assisting with internal communications. The intern will also help schedule and document meetings, take notes, and follow up on action items, while working with different teams across the Area. This internship is designed for someone who is eager to learn and build practical skills in project coordination and professional communication. Candidates should be currently pursuing a degree in business, communications, public administration, or a related field, and be organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple tasks. Strong written and verbal communication skills and basic familiarity with Microsoft Office tools are important. An interest in planning, teamwork, and supporting organizational efforts will help the intern succeed in this role.
