About The Position

General Functions Directs and promotes the sales trade execution and distribution of Pepsi MidAmerica products throughout a limited geographical territory, to the fullest extent. Reporting Relationships Reports to: Division General Manager Supervises: Territorial Sales Representatives, Route Sales Representatives, Dedicated Sales Representatives, Merchandisers and Relay Drivers

Responsibilities

  • Direct and manages all sales activities within his/her area to provide maximum sales of products
  • Develops close relationships within chain store buyers, Grocer's associations and special accounts to gain authorization for placement of all products, vendors, equipment and promotions.
  • Uses promotional and advertising dollars to directly increase sales and create new consumers for Pepsi MidAmerica products. Participate in developing trade promotions.
  • Train and develop qualified personnel within the sales department. Maintain required license and certificate throughout the State to give Road Test.
  • Maintains a close relationship with subordinates through daily activities and reports to best determine planning and solution to problems.
  • Handle all sales complaints within his/her geographic area.
  • Participates in community and civic organization activities.
  • Submit daily activity reports and plans for the week.
  • When necessary work the salesman's area, fill out and report trans-shipping at locations
  • Track and report programs and promotions sold to ensure execution of the sales department.
  • Enforce requirements of promotional programs with customers receiving promotional discounts.
  • Ensure 100% retail execution of specific projects, i.e. sets, resets, racks, banners, etc.
