About The Position

This position is under the general direction of the Regional Manager, practice physicians, off-site radiologist, and VP of Operations. She will also work directly with Practice providers, their administrators, practice staff, and various members of the Onsite Women's Health organization as needed. This position will also interact with Radiologists and their staff, Hospitals, and/or radiology imaging centers. This position requires the individual to reside in the Northeast. The ideal candidate will possess a well-balanced skill set that allows for successful interaction with a diverse range of professionals and patients and will possess superior mammography technical skills and thorough knowledge of MQSA protocols. The candidate must have experience supervising others in a fast-paced environment. She must have experience managing or working in a lead position within a Center for Breast Health (CBH), which is a central location where multiple client practices refer patients for mammography exams. The ideal candidate must be dependable, self-motivated and able to problem solve quickly and effectively. She must also be able to manage conflicting priorities efficiently under pressure. The position's responsibilities are multi-fold. The Area Manager will provide clinical, professional and managerial guidance to ONsite team members. She will assist the Regional Manager as needed in the pre-installation activities, marketing efforts, hiring of personnel and implementation of new practice locations in her specific region. She will work directly with the Regional Manager and other ONsite team members to assure the success of new practice locations. The Area Manager will oversee the day to day operations of ONsite staff within the practices partnering with ONsite. At times the candidate may be asked to perform 3D tomosynthesis mammography of the highest technical level.

Requirements

  • ARRT required
  • Advance certification in Mammography required
  • Minimum of 5 years of practical experience
  • Must maintain CME's as required by State and or National accreditation bodies
  • Proof of required educational level(s) due at time of hire
  • Must have minimum of three years management experience

Nice To Haves

  • Previous CBH management experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Specializes in the management of ONsite staff overseeing the screening and diagnostic mammography service client practice for the early detection of breast cancer.
  • Responsible for the initial and ongoing success of the mammography service in practices assigned to manage.
  • Assist practice in any and all ways possible to be sure all eligible age appropriate patients have annual screening mammograms.
  • Supervise both hourly and per-diem employees in multiple medical practices
  • Develops and maintains relationships with lead physicians and practice administrators
  • Ensure proper employee coverage at all times for all medical practices
  • Obtain/maintain various state licenses
  • Prepare the monthly coverage schedule where utilized
  • Fill in as required for sick coverage and vacation
  • Oversee the maintenance of all QA documents necessary to exceed annual FDA inspection requirements
  • Is responsible for obtaining and maintaining ACR accreditation
  • Oversees all mammography tracking following MQSA guidelines and requirements
  • Assists the Radiologist with QA/QC reporting
  • Responsible for overseeing the correct utilization and accuracy of PINk in the practices being managed
  • Assists the Clinical Education Manager with EQUIP
  • Coordinate the yearly Physicist inspections with the practice schedules
  • Assists the Risk Assessment Program Manager with the implementation of Risk Assessment within the practices
  • Communicates weekly with the Regional Manager through conference calls or emails
  • Explains procedures to the patient to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation
  • Moves mammographic equipment to specific positions and adjusts controls to set exposure factors based on knowledge of radiographic exposure techniques and protocols
  • Practices radiation protection techniques by using beam restrictive devices, patient shielding skills and ALARA principles
  • Follows prescribed safety standards in operating all required equipment
  • Examines digital images for image quality
  • Ensures equipment is in proper working order at all times
  • Performs all required QA testing required to comply with MQSA, ACR and State requirements/regulations
  • Maintains patient confidentiality at all times
  • Processes routine paperwork and all required data entry
  • Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations
  • Prepares all required reports and data pursuant to MQSA and State requirements
  • Performs all other duties as may be assigned
