About The Position

Area Manager – Janitorial Operations (Overnight) Schedule Friday–Monday | 10:00 PM – 8:30 AM (4 ten-hour shifts) ESS Clean is seeking a hands-on Area Manager to oversee overnight janitorial operations across multiple client sites. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented leader who excels at quality control, client communication, and operational execution in a fast-paced environment. The Area Manager owns day-to-day operations for a group of client sites. You’ll hire, train, and coach associates, monitor quality through regular inspections, and make sure every customer concern gets swift, complete follow-up. Schedule Friday–Monday | 10:00 PM – 8:30 AM (4 ten-hour shifts)

Requirements

Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
2+ years of management experience in janitorial, facilities, or building services
Strong judgment and ability to prioritize in a time-sensitive environment
Customer-focused mindset with strong attention to detail
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized; able to manage multiple sites simultaneously
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (email, spreadsheets, documents)
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Responsibilities

Train and coach janitorial staff to ensure performance standards are met
Address performance or attendance issues promptly and document actions
Reinforce company policies, procedures, and expectations on-site
Inspect each facility on a scheduled basis and correct deficiencies immediately
Respond to client questions or complaints the same day and follow through to resolution
Identify and coordinate special services such as deep cleans and floor care
Review and approve employee timecards; submit payroll data accurately and on time
Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies to maintain par levels without waste
Enforce all safety policies; investigate and report incidents immediately
Complete required company training and certifications
