The Autism Center of Nebraska, Inc. is looking for a Full-Time Fremont Area Manager (Monday-Friday) creating and managing the programs that we run for our individuals! The successful candidate for this position will have good listening skills, assessment skills and ability to manage multiple tasks. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and behavior disorders is a must. Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of two years experience working in a community-based program for persons with developmental disabilities. Three years' experience as a manager or Supervisor Ability to attend and participate in meetings, trainings, seminars, etc. (on and off-site) Demonstrated knowledge of service delivery models for persons with developmental disabilities. Good verbal and written communication skills in English, including the ability to articulate thoughts clearly. Able to work legally in the United States. Be able to pass required background checks. High School Diploma or equivalent. Possess valid driver’s license, good driving record, reliable transportation, and current proof of auto insurance. Ability to arrive at assigned location at assigned times. Ability to transport clients. Duties and responsibilities: Advocates for, and respects the rights of, people receiving services to lead a self-determined life by ensuring the provision of supports and information necessary to build self-esteem and assertiveness in exercising their rights and making their own decisions. Demonstrates responsible, conscientious behavior and the ability to use good judgment in making sound decisions in various situations Knowledge of, and ability to, effectively assess individual needs, including but not limited to, amount and type of staffing required, transportation needs, coordination of special interventions for medical, nutritional, or therapeutic needs, etc. Responsible for grocery budgets and/or petty cash systems, depending upon assigned location. Work cooperatively with other service providers in effectively interfacing to ensure quality service delivery for all clients and provide efficient and responsive administrative support for DSPs. Train staff in proper operational procedures and functions. Assign work schedules to ensure quality and timely delivery of services. Ability to coach higher levels of performance from staff. Ability to motivate staff and teams to work toward client and agency goals. Maintain confidentiality of information Any other job duties assigned.
