About The Position

This is a sales role and involves presenting, demonstrating and securing orders. Working on your own initiative to see through opportunities and convert them to sales is essential. Capability to develop and secure sales in a nationwide territory. Develop relationships with key customers into lasting business partnerships. Achievement of sales plans on a quarterly and annual basis. Assist customers with clinical, technical and commercial enquiries. Business planning and implementation throughout area of responsibility. Development of new business opportunities and determination of new clients and market potential. Systematic collection, presentation and interpretation of market and competitor information. Continuous interaction with key principals. Provide feedback on customers, promotional programs and environmental changes and provide ideas to improve product and company performance in the marketplace. Implementation of new product launches and other corporate activities within area of responsibility. Attendance and organisational support of relevant conferences and meetings specific to the Business Unit.

Requirements

  • 3 years’ medical sales experience in a hospital environment.
  • Experience working in operating theatres.
  • Ability to build relationships with KOL’s including surgeons, clinical nurse managers, & procurement
  • Capacity to communicate well and deliver a positive image of the company and its products.
  • Have the necessary education and practical experience to deal with the complex medical device technologies in a clinical background.
  • Full driver’s License.
  • Strong ability to close sales.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills are a pre-requisite for this role as is a high reliance on personal drive and initiative.
  • Be target driven and have the ability to "Close" sales.
  • Good Presentation skills.
  • Solution orientated with a positive and competitive mindset.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills that enable clear, concise but complete information sharing.
  • The ideal candidate will be commercially aware and have excellent interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Have an outgoing and persuasive personality.
  • Ability to present information in a structured manner anticipating what will be required.
  • Technologically competent - can use standard applications such as excel to obtain, process and produce insightful information.
  • Significant demonstrable knowledge in the field of Sales & Marketing within the Irish Medical Device market.
  • Industry knowledge & a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the medical device industry would be preferable.
  • A ‘Driver’ personality with the ability to build a sales pipeline and deliver growth.
  • Solution-driven & competitive mindset.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the Urology speciality benefical but not essential
  • A clinical background would also be an advantage.
