Responsibilities

  • Lead asset protection strategy across the Grocery DC/FC network, aligning controls to grocery-specific risks such as high-volume throughput, temperature-controlled storage, and rapid order fulfillment.
  • Protect grocery inventory by implementing loss prevention programs that address shrink drivers common to grocery operations (e.g., high-touch handling, staging areas, returns, damages, and vendor/driver interactions).
  • Conduct investigations into theft, diversion, tampering, vandalism, and safety violations; document findings and recommend corrective actions to reduce recurrence.
  • Oversee security and monitoring systems critical to grocery operations, including CCTV, access control, intrusion/fire systems, and refrigeration/freezer alarms to support cold-chain protection and product integrity.
  • Support compliance and inspections by coordinating OSHA and other regulatory visits and leading internal audits tied to safety, environmental, and health requirements within grocery DC/FC operations.
  • Maintain safety readiness by ensuring first aid equipment and supplies are current, emergency response processes are practiced, and required records are accurate and audit ready.
  • Drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement for incidents, losses, and audit findings, building action plans that improve controls, reduce shrinks, and strengthen operational discipline.
