Under the direction of the Area Welfare and Self-Reliance Manager (AWSRM), this role leads efforts to build and coordinate strategic humanitarian relationships with organizations, governments, and other community leaders and facilitates humanitarian efforts throughout the Area (often in multiple countries), managing humanitarian projects, initiatives, and programs or other designated operations. This role assists the Church in providing individuals and families access to basic needs (food, clothing, shelter, sanitation, education, etc.) as aligned with the 5 Year Area Humanitarian Plan, helping people become economically, emotionally, and physically self-reliant, and supporting Area efforts to prepare for and respond to disasters.
