We are seeking motivated individuals with groundskeeping experience or a strong desire to lead, learn, and grow to manage one of the park’s primary landscaping areas. Experience is preferred, but we will train the right candidate who brings enthusiasm, adaptability, and leadership potential. Requirements

  • At least three months experience working in a recreational area, scenic attraction, hospitality, historical, retail or customer service setting, agricultural setting, or related coursework/training.
  • Knowledge of: Operation of various types of powered equipment, including weed eaters, chainsaws, lawn mowers, hedge trimmers, backpack blowers, edgers, and similar tools
  • Safe chemical and fertilizer application practices
  • Ability to: Interact professionally and courteously with park guests
  • Provide friendly and helpful customer service
  • Lead and coordinate the work of a small crew
  • Maintain safety standards in an outdoor work environment

  • Availability to work one weekend day and some holidays
  • Minimum of six months of groundskeeping experience
  • High level of adaptability

Responsibilities

  • Lead a small crew in providing routine groundskeeping and landscaping services within one of the park’s primary areas, including facilities such as the Peter Kiewit Lodge, Family Aquatic Center, cabins, campgrounds, Activity Center, and more.
  • Enforce proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a strong culture of safety.
  • Perform and oversee weed control, turf management, and fertilizer/chemical applications.
  • Complete hardscaping and landscaping projects to enhance park aesthetics.
  • Plant and care for trees and shrubs, including pruning and general maintenance.
  • Manage trash, debris, and litter removal to maintain cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
  • Assist with park event setup and teardown.
  • Support amenity improvements and other beautification initiatives.
  • Perform snow removal and seasonal maintenance duties.
  • Contribute to the continued enhancement of the park’s already breathtaking landscape.
