About The Position

At Makeready we are searching for curious self-starters with a genuine interest in people. As an Area Director of Revenue Management, you’ll shape the revenue management and distribution strategy for The Junto and The Merchant Building (opening Winter 2027) — aligning insights with each hotel’s unique identity. You’ll lead forecasting, pricing, and inventory optimization while collaborating closely with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to bring our business goals to life. We’re seeking a forward-thinking leader who’s fluent in analytics, obsessed with performance, and inspired by partnership. This is more than a job about rates and restrictions — it’s about creating the right conditions for each property to thrive.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience in Revenue Management, including at least 3 years as a Director of Revenue Management for a hotel or multi-property group.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth, improving forecast accuracy, and optimizing performance across multiple markets.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience managing and mentoring revenue management teams.
  • Proficiency in Opera PMS, IDeaS, and iHotelier (or equivalent systems).
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing revenue for both branded and independent assets preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Drive strategic revenue initiatives across multiple Makeready hotels.
  • Lead rate, pricing, and inventory strategy to maximize profitability.
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable plans.
  • Partner with property and corporate teams to deliver results that align with brand and market goals.
  • Stay ahead of trends and bring a creative approach to an ever-changing marketplace.
