About The Position

Altus Hospice is seeking an Area Director of Operations for our growing team in Texas (Corpus Christi, Victoria, San Antonio, Houston). Ideal candidate is a seasoned hospice leader that has multi-site management experience, passion for hospice, and strong operational background. The Area Director of Operations is responsible for administering and overseeing all aspects of the day-to-day operations of multiple hospice programs/locations consistent with established goals, objectives, policies, and regulations of Altus Hospice. The Area Director of Operations is also responsible for compliance with all regulations, laws, policies, and procedures applicable to hospice regulatory guidelines. The Area Director of Operations will manage the affairs of the local branch locations under the general direction of senior management. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare, management or business related field required.
  • If RN or LNHA, must have a current unencumbered license in the state of employment.
  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience in health care management, home health, hospice, or related health programs required.
  • Minimum Two (2) years of hospice experience required with intimate knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and state department of health regulations.
  • Marketing or Business Development experience in a healthcare environment required.
  • Multi-site management experience required
  • Must be willing to travel and spend at least 50% of time in assigned region.

  • Share insights and ideas with senior leadership to help shape the future of end-of-life care in the communities we serve.
  • Anticipate staffing needs and design schedules that balance the well-being of patients, families, and team members alike.
