About The Position

Trane Technologies is a world leader in creating comfortable, sustainable, and efficient climate solutions for buildings, homes, and transportation, with a core mission to prioritize the planet. Sustainability is integral to their business operations. The company is seeking a driven Area Digital Leader to spearhead the growth and successful implementation of its industry-leading Digital Service solutions within the Upstate NY & VT Area. This pivotal role involves close collaboration with sales and operations teams to boost digital solution adoption, ensure high-quality service delivery, and enhance customer outcomes through data-driven insights. The Area Digital Leader will act as the regional subject-matter expert for digital services, working in tandem with Service Sales Leaders and future Regional Digital Business Development Managers to secure and fulfill Service-as-a-Software (SaaS) opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Technology, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in HVAC, building technologies, digital services, or a technical service organization.
  • Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems, building controls, or facility operations.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven ability to drive growth, enable teams, and lead cross‑functional initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of digital service platforms, connected equipment, building automation, and data‑driven service models.
  • Familiarity with Trane’s product portfolio, mechanical service agreements, controls platforms, and commercial contracting processes.
  • Prior leadership in sales enablement, service operations, or digital transformation roles.
  • Influence without direct authority across a highly matrixed organization.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to clearly connect customer challenges to digital solutions.
  • Comfortable discussing analytics, integration, AI-driven optimization, and connected services.
  • Team-oriented with strong collaboration skills and the ability to influence without authority.
  • Curious, proactive, and adaptable as digital offerings continue to evolve.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Regional Digital Fulfillment Leader and peers across the region to develop and execute strategic business plans to expand the adoption of Trane’s Digital Service solutions in assigned markets.
  • Provide coaching, training, and tools that elevate key stakeholder competency and trust in how Trane delivers customer value through our Digital Solutions.
  • Partner with area Service Sales Leaders and Regional Digital team to achieve or exceed assigned sales targets, revenue and profit goals, and KPIs.
  • Collaborate internally with Regional Sales Teams, BAS Service Technicians, Area Service Managers, Product Management, and Customer Support to ensure solutions are appropriately tailored to customer needs and delivered successfully.
  • Ensure successful setup, activation, and ongoing fulfillment of digital services, including remote monitoring, analytics, connected controls, and other platform-enabled/SaaS solutions.
  • Support issue resolution and escalation management to ensure seamless customer onboarding and experience.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer feedback to identify and recommend new opportunities for innovation or improvement.
  • Hold monthly business reviews of the Digital business in your area towards growth targets and other KPIs
