About The Position

Direct and coordinate the activities of logistics and distribution operations of Crystal Flash across bulk plants (straight trucks) to ensure external and internal customer needs are met profitably. Collaborate with Supply, Sales, and Marketing across the customer segments serviced by Crystal Flash to ensure gallon sales, pricing/margin, and profitability targets are achieved. Continuously improve the Company’s infrastructure and processes to delight the customer most effectively and efficiently. Above all, be a champion for safe operations, open communications, and team member development to ensure that Crystal Flash lives our core values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business curriculum preferred and a minimum of 3 years related management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Operational management experience preferred.
  • In-depth understanding of laws and regulations pertaining to trucks, bulk plants, and hazardous materials preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, financial, and human relations skills required.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to lead people, to achieve results through others, to develop people, and the ability to work effectively with people in a variety of positions and experience levels in the organization.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals and financial reports.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management and public groups.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret a wide variety of technical instructions, in either mathematical or diagram form.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate bulk plant site operations and services by overseeing the delivery and storage of products to ensure attainment of company goals and objectives. Standardize procedures and equipment where appropriate. Maintain efficient delivery processes, ensuring the availability to customers.
  • Direct and coordinate the service functions supporting logistics operations across the delivery vehicles and bulk plants.
  • Ensure the bulk plant drivers maintain safe practices and comply with all regulatory requirements. Ensure that drivers give a quality customer service experience.
  • Lead and supervise bulk plant drivers and dispatchers by providing communication and training, managing conflict, directing work activities, evaluating, and rewarding performance, ensuring compliance with policies and standards, and providing continued professional development to maintain a positive work environment and a motivated workforce.
  • Assure compliance of facilities, vehicles, and operations with all applicable laws and regulations. Assure compliance with Crystal Flash image standards.
  • Manage and control financial activities by following an annual budget that meets strategic goals. Responsible for initiating expense controls, managing department assets, proper handling of bills of lading, and inventory control to contribute to effective fiscal management of the bulk plant operations.
  • Develop department goals and objectives to sustain profitable operations that meet the organization’s strategic plan.
  • Lead the proper selection, training, and development of staff.
  • Coordinate with the safety department by directing the proper inspections and maintenance of equipment, complying with all government regulatory requirements, and providing team member review and training of safety regulations to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Provide appropriate accident or incident response in coordination with the Safety Manager and other staff or external authorities.
  • Develop and maintain positive external relationships with key customers, responding to elevated customer problems and complaints.
  • Represent Crystal Flash in industry organizations to enhance professional knowledge and industry standing.
  • Other additional duties as assigned and required.
