About The Position
The Assistant Plant Manager supports the Plant Manager in overseeing daily bulk plant operations, transportation logistics, safety compliance, inventory management, and team leadership.

Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily plant operations including fuel distribution, warehouse activity, and logistics coordination
- Monitor truck utilization, routing efficiency, and delivery scheduling
- Ensure plant equipment and facility infrastructure are properly maintained
- Assist with inventory management and reconciliation
- Assist with employee training and development
- Conduct weekly safety meetings and reinforce safety culture
- Provide coaching and leadership to ensure operational standards are maintained
- Support supervision of drivers, plant operators, and administrative staff
- Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, EPA, and company policies
- Assist with SPCC, AST, and environmental documentation
- Conduct facility inspections and safety audits
- Maintain proper safety documentation and reporting
