Position Summary This position is responsible for driving sales of YKK AP America’s aluminum architectural fenestration products by developing and maintaining relationships with architects, contractors, and other business and industrial customers. The role involves generating new business, supporting project specifications, coordinating estimates, and managing customer relationships throughout the sales process within an assigned territory.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree (A.A.) from a two-year college or technical school, or five or more years of related experience and/or training in the glazing or construction industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must reside within the assigned sales territory

Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow a strong customer base to generate repeat business within the assigned sales territory
  • Build long-term relationships with customers and secure orders for YKK AP products
  • Maintain regular communication with architects to promote YKK products and achieve product specification for bidding
  • Collaborate with inside sales, estimating, and management teams to negotiate terms, secure orders, and follow up on estimates utilizing company technology platforms.
  • Prepare and submit sales plans, including customer projections and strategic growth initiatives
  • Monitor and analyze competitive market conditions locally and nationally
  • Participate in the coordination of project quotes for customers with the estimating department, including material take-offs from architectural drawings
  • Visit job sites to gain an understanding of product installation and assist in resolving field-related issues in coordination with field technicians
  • Assist with payment collection and credit authorization as needed
  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas
