Position Overview: The Architectural Project Coordinator works directly with the Director of Architecture in supporting the division’s production operations, while also providing support to the construction, purchasing, sales, and architecture teams. Responsible for producing and/or managing the internal and external workflow. These responsibilities may include one or all the categories of duties identified below and may change with short notice due to business needs and constraints.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in homebuilding and architectural drafting.
  • Experience working in AutoCAD Architecture.
  • Experience working in Photoshop to generate colored renderings.
  • Experienced in homebuilding with general construction & code knowledge.
  • Experience generating and compiling construction documents (CD’s), using AutoCAD Architecture and Revu BlueBeam.
  • Experience creating lisp routines, dynamic blocks, and/or ability to generate a more effective means of drafting.
  • Must be detailed oriented, organized, and adaptable.
  • Ability to work in a challenging, fast-paced work environment while meeting given deadlines
  • Demonstrate ability to effectively and efficiently solve problems and think critically.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak fluently in English
  • Employees in the position are required to be able to hear and have vision sufficient to utilize all office equipment
  • Use of hands and fingers is required to utilize standard office equipment
  • Requires occasional lifting up to 20 pounds

Responsibilities

  • Work with Autodesk AutoCAD software, creating, modifying, and maintaining residential construction documents from drawings, sketches, scanned images, specifications, and/or written or verbal instructions.
  • Review and quality control plan packages prior to municipal submittal or field distribution:
  • Provide diplomatic support and solutions to municipal comments.
  • Self-check own work for completeness, accuracy, and meeting company standards.
  • Responsible for plan accuracy in the field, including details and constructability.
  • Review and correct plans as needed required by Product Change Requests (PCR).
  • Assist in coordination with third-party consultants to instruct, answer questions regarding projects, and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Assist in jurisdiction and/or HOA design review; and building and safety submittal for document approval.
  • Assist in redlining projects, generating as-built sets, color blocking, and renderings.
  • General knowledge of residential construction building codes as they relate to construction documents.
  • Manages multiple computer files in a Windows environment (DWG, DWF, PDF, PDG).
  • Complete administrative support duties in a timely and professional manner to ensure the division functions optimally.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
