Overview Seeking a new career challenge? Then Woolpert is seeking you! Woolpert is hiring an Architecture Summer Intern at our Chicago, IL office to support our Mission Critical practice. This position reports to the Regional Team Leader and is responsible for collaborating with experienced architects and designers on various projects, gaining hands-on experience in architectural modeling, visualization, as well as exposure to project management activities. This internship offers a dynamic environment where you can refine your skills, unleash your creativity, and contribute to the realization of innovative architectural solutions. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position. Applicants must already possess work authorization in the country the job is located.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Master's degree program in Architecture or a related field in the summer before your final year.
  • Proficiency in architectural modeling software such as Revit, or similar and design modeling software such as Rhino or similar.
  • Strong visual communication skills, with the ability to create compelling renderings and presentations.
  • Knowledge of architectural design principles, building codes, and construction methods.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with a passion for design innovation.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop skills in architectural design and project management.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in architectural design tasks, including conceptualization, drafting, and 3D modeling.
  • Utilize software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, and the Adobe Creative Suite for drafting, rendering, and presentation purposes.
  • Contribute creative ideas and solutions to design challenges, demonstrating innovative thinking and attention to detail.
  • Assist in research activities related to architectural trends, materials, and technologies.
  • Participate in team meetings, design reviews, and brainstorming sessions.
  • Adhere to project deadlines and quality standards, ensuring deliverables meet client expectations and project requirements.
