About The Position

This role is responsible for creating accurate, production-ready design drawings by combining shop drawings, product data, and material requirements using CAD tools. You’ll collaborate closely with project managers, estimators, and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with project goals. The position also involves coordinating drafting efforts, refining designs, and supporting high-quality, timely project delivery.

Requirements

Associate’s Degree in AutoCAD Drafting/Design or related program, or related field experience.
A detailed-oriented person who demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational, time management, and critical thinking skills.
Possess physical and mental aptitudes and capabilities that will enable them to do the essential functions of the job.
Possess ability to learn, problem-solve, independently assess situations, and respond appropriately and safely to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
Demonstrate ability to communicate, understand, give or follow written, verbal, or demonstrated instructions, write information, and request assistance.
Ability to communicate well with all types of people – external and internal consumers of services.

Nice To Haves

General knowledge of construction and metal wall panel systems, preferred.
Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD preferred, experience with Revit a plus.

Responsibilities

Work with project managers and estimators to combine shop drawings, product data, and material requirements to create a complete set of submittals.
Produce detailed drawings using CAD software (AutoCAD and Revit).
Gather all the information needed to complete accurate drawings.
Develop designs that can be produced economically to maintain or improve company's competitive position.
Update designs and check accuracy.
Assist with analyzing results and redesign if required.
Partners with estimators to make sure the building package is put together correctly.
Coordinate the work of drafting teams and technicians.
Works with the manufacturing personnel to guarantee quality, efficiency and timeliness are maintained for every project.
Prepare colored drawings and scale models to present.
Use computer assisted design/drafting equipment and software to develop designs
Perform other duties as assigned in order to keep up with company needs.
