About The Position

At Urban Practice, we are dedicated to providing seamless, integrated architectural services to build communities that lift lives. We work closely with development, construction and management teams dedicated to excellence in housing. We are a new firm- small but growing- and we care about what we do.
Full-time designer on the path to licensure works from the designs of others under supervision, and performs routine and limited architectural assignments. Has a modicum of technical knowledge of materials, means & methods, building systems, building codes, construction standards and other regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Ten or more years of experience in an architectural firm.
• Bachelor’s degree in architecture from an accredited program
• Proficiency in BIM (ArchiCAD a major plus) + rendering/modeling/graphic experience.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with multi-family residential planning/design is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs specific/limited portions of assignments using prescribed methods.
• Under general supervision, works from the design of others and generates drawings and 3D models utilizing BIM software.
• Team collaboration in production of architectural documents through all project stages.
• Apply standards, assemble drawing sets.
• Ensure output meets required expectations and deadlines.
