Wendel is seeking enthusiastic Architecture student to intern at our Middletown, CT location! We are looking for those who thrive in a fast paced, team focused, and collaborative studio - working environment. As an intern, you'll have the opportunity to work on projects as an integrated member of the team, from Design and Documentation through Construction Administration. Wendel provides project leadership opportunities to our interns, and we encourage collaboration between all team members, including our in-house Engineering teams. Wendel’s internship program balances project work with education sessions about the field to create a comprehensive overview for our interns. While at Wendel, Interns are invited to participate in Wendel’s AXP/ARE Prep Group. The group meets regularly, to support our employees on their path to Architectural licensure. Internship Purpose: Work on actual projects in a variety of sectors, including Public Transit, Higher Education, Public Safety and Private Development. Actively work on projects with Architecture teams in Connecticut, and other offices. Collaborate with team members across all disciplines Assist with a variety of project tasks, including conceptual design, space planning, construction documentation and red lines within REVIT. Support Architect with general construction administration tasks, including submittal review, responding to contractor questions and local site observations. Tasks are dependent on active projects in the office at the time of the internship. Assist with Marketing tasks to support local Business Development effort. Develop a broader understanding of the architecture field.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's or graduate degree in Architecture at an accredited institution.
  • Must be in good academic standing.
  • A student who is a self-starter, collegial, diligent, and eager to learn about the day-to-day realities of a career in architecture.
  • Revit experience preferred.
  • Ability to work on-site and travel if needed.
