About The Position

The Salvation Army's Adult Rehabilitation Centers make a difference in people's lives. Through the collection and resale of gently used goods we are able to provide the financial support to assist men and women with a variety of social and spiritual afflictions. The in-residence rehabilitation program focuses on basic necessities with every man or woman being provided a clean and healthy living environment, good food, work therapy, leisure time activities, group and individual counseling, and spiritual direction. All our effort is focused on developing life skills and a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. More than just a job, each member of the team contributes to recycling goods that literally recycle and repair broken lives. The Program Department at ARC Command Headquarters is seeking a full-time Program Specialist to support the Command Leader for Program and members of the program department with administrative and program needs and to take an active role in Annual Support Visits, retreats/councils and other special events, attending as requested.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of office or program experience
• Strong organizational skills
• Attention to detail
• Computer skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to work independently
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality

Responsibilities

• Handle communication
• Manage calendars
• Direct phone calls
• Send meeting invitations for the department
• Prepare a monthly newsletter
• Prepare materials for Annual Command Review
• Assist with logistics for conferences and meetings
• Responsible for the Beneficiary Information Tracking System and LITMOS Administration
• Statistical data collection and reporting
