Requirements

  • Two years Climbing and rigging tree work experience required.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Two years of Arborist tree climbing experience required.
  • High school diploma.
  • 2 years of tree climbing experience while performing tree pruning and rigging required.
  • Drag and chip limbs safely and efficiently.
  • Chainsaw and bucket truck experience.
  • Willing to get ISA certified within 2 years.
  • Daily tool maintenance.
  • Safety.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • A valid state driver's license.
  • Willing to get ISA certified within 2yrs
  • The physical requirements for this job could be lifting up to 90 pounds.
  • Able to climb trees.
  • Working on very hot days and very cold days.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors a plus.
  • ISA Certified a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain trees and shrubs, through systematic pruning and integrated pest management as part of an overall plant health care program for the landscape at a client site in the southwest region of the United States.
  • Supervise and perform daily, specialty tasks such as cabling, bracing, rigging and safe removals of trees.
  • Performs tree maintenance operations
  • Ability to operate motor vehicles, lift/move equipment, materials, supplies and tools; climbing gear, rigging equipment, wear protective clothing as required by client and company.
  • Required to follow all company, client, and regulatory agency policies.
