About The Position

The AR Operations Analytics & Cash Forecasting Manager plays a critical role in supporting global Accounts Receivable operations by delivering accurate cash forecasting, insightful reporting, and analytical support across disputes, cash application, and AR technology initiatives. This role partners closely with operational stakeholders within Finance Shared Services, the Corporate Controller Group, Sales and FP&A to improve visibility into cash inflows, drive operational efficiency, and support data-driven decision-making. The position combines operational finance expertise, strong analytical capability, and cross-functional collaboration, serving as a key enabler of AR performance and cash predictability. The role also includes presentation of collections performance to senior leaders throughout Cisco.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Own and continuously improve short-term and mid-term cash collection forecasts in partnership with collections, non-integrated acquisitions, and corporate FP&A.
  • Analyze historical collection trends, disputes, billing cycles, and customer payment behavior to improve forecast accuracy.
  • Provide variance analysis (forecast vs. actuals) and clearly articulate drivers, risks, and mitigation actions.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end AR close activities with accurate data and insights
  • Partner with regional AR teams to identify operational bottlenecks and improvement opportunities
  • Assesses the needs of the business, prioritize projects and drive analyses to completion. Work cross-functionally as needed to enable data architecture and solutions that best meet the analytics and reporting needs of the business
  • Gather data inputs from multiple sources. Identify new data sources that will enhance business outcomes and support objectives
  • Use modern visualization tools such as Tableau and Power of BI to enhance business understanding through artistic, simple, and concise data story telling
  • Use statistical and other quantitative modeling techniques to analyze large data sets, identify business opportunities and quantify risks. Supports advanced analytics including prescriptive and predictive analyses
  • Complete complex ad-hoc research, analysis, and reporting. Serves as a subject-matter expert on the team
  • May assume project/initiative responsibility, and provide guidance to more junior employees or act as a team lead
  • Serve as chief of staff to Sr. Director, Invoice to Cash for staff initiatives and staff projects
