About The Position

As an AR/Credit Analyst, you will play a vital role in obtaining and analyzing credit information for potential and existing customers. Your work will involve gathering data from credit bureaus and other services, investigating credit standings, compiling reports, and assisting with collections. You will also support analysts with new credit applications and account setups.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance from an accredited university preferred. If not, 2-4+ years of AR Analyst or Credit Analysis experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain information about potential and existing customers from credit bureaus and provide reciprocal information when requested.
  • Investigate the credit history and standing of businesses applying for credit by contacting credit departments of business and service establishments.
  • Compile credit information and prepare reports for use in decision-making.
  • Assist analysts with obtaining documentation for new credit applications and setting up accounts.
  • Assist with collections as needed.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing and reporting of credit information.
  • Maintain accurate and current records and files to ensure the ongoing integrity of account information.
  • Handle audit confirmations and verifications for internal, external, and customer-generated requests.
  • Ensure proper, effective, and efficient work methods.
  • Implement company policy and programs effectively.
  • Conduct credit reviews for opening new accounts and existing accounts.
  • Assist in setting up new accounts by entering data into systems and establishing a credit file with appropriate documentation.
  • Interface with the sales team regarding the status of new accounts.
  • Conduct efficient and effective credit reviews and updates to maintain an acceptable range of risk and ensure collectability within a reasonable time.
  • Coordinate with supervisors, other departments, and services to maintain efficiency in credit-related operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Credit Manager and/or Credit Supervisor.
