About The Position

The Aquatics Manager is responsible for driving swim lesson growth, maintaining instructional quality, and ensuring every family has a positive experience at the facility. This role plays a critical part in meeting lesson count objectives, improving retention, and coaching instructors to deliver consistent, high-quality lessons. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires active deck presence, strong coaching skills, and the ability to balance performance goals with safety, morale, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of supervisory or management experience.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, and evaluating team performance.
  • Background working with children and families in an educational or recreational setting.
  • Strong communication, follow-through, and attention to detail.
  • CPR, AED, and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days).
  • Ability to meet physical requirements of an active aquatic environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Drive lesson growth and exceed lesson count objectives.
  • Monitor and manage key performance metrics including retention, renewals, level advancement, and customer feedback.
  • Coach instructors to improve lesson quality, engagement, and customer retention.
  • Ensure families are satisfied with instructors, progress, scheduling, and facility conditions.
  • Oversee aquatics training programs, including evaluations, in-water training, role-play, and trainee release.
  • Provide consistent feedback—both positive and corrective—with proper documentation.
  • Evaluate lessons and wrap-up conversations with focus on progress, renewals, and growth tactics.
  • Step in for safety interventions and instructional support as needed.
  • Maintain high morale and support staff reliability using company protocols.
  • Respond to parent concerns and escalate to Customer Relations when appropriate.
  • Submit daily reports and complete daily cash-out reports.
  • Assist with marketing initiatives and encourage online reviews.
  • Ensure pool water balance, equipment readiness, and facility standards.
