About The Position

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Provide guidance and on-shift coaching to Aquatics team members to maintain consistent safety, operations, and guest service standards. Help ensure all aquatic areas comply with IROC–Aquatics Operator guidelines and park safety policies. Assist in conducting routine safety checks, water-quality observations, and documenting operational logs as directed. Serve as a first point of support for resolving team member questions, operational concerns, or guest inquiries. Assist with the training and onboarding of new team members, reinforcing proper procedures, emergency readiness, and accessibility guidelines. Help coordinate daily staffing assignments and break schedules to ensure proper coverage across all aquatic areas. Maintain vigilance in aquatic zones and support emergency response efforts under the direction of the Aquatics Supervisor. Promote a clean, organized, and accessible environment throughout all aquatic facilities. Report any maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or operational issues promptly to the Aquatics Supervisor or appropriate departments. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in Aquatics or in a similar attractions or guest service role required.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification preferred; ability to obtain if not already held.
  • Demonstrated understanding of ride operations, safety procedures, and IROC- Aquatics Operator standards.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and guide team members effectively.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact positively with guests of all ages and abilities.
  • Ability to remain calm, focused, and professional in fast-paced or high-pressure situations.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and enforce safety and operational policies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make quick, safe, and informed decisions.
  • Must successfully complete all required training and maintain any necessary certifications.
