As our Aquatics Director, you will earn a competitive pay of $30 per hour . ABOUT THIS SEASONAL AQUATICS DIRECTOR JOB As our seasonal Aquatics Director, you will work a mix of day shifts and evenings as needed, with a minimum of 40 hours per week during peak season. The pool is open seven days a week (weather permitting), so flexibility is key! Plus, you'll get the chance to gear up for the season in spring and wrap things up in the fall-a perfect balance of action and preparation. As our seasonal Aquatics Director at Oakley Country Club, you start your day with a quick scan of the pool-crystal clear and ready for action. As members arrive, you greet them with a smile, setting the tone for a fun and welcoming environment. You check in with your lifeguard team, making sure they're prepped and positioned for a safe and smooth day. A quick pep talk gets everyone energized. Throughout the day, you juggle everything from coordinating swim lessons and planning exciting pool events to ensuring water safety protocols are met. You keep an eye on maintenance, order supplies when needed, and handle any unexpected surprises (because let's be real-pool life is never dull!).

Requirements

  • 3+ years of lifeguard experience
  • 2+ years of experience as a manager or assistant manager of a public, private, or equivalent pool setting
  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Recreation Administration, or equivalent years of experience
  • Current Certified Pool Operator certification in Massachusetts
  • Current Massachusetts Aquatic Facility Operator certification
  • American Red Cross CPR and First Aid certification for the Professional Rescuer or American Heart Association Heart Saver CPR
  • Swim America Program Director certification (American Swim Coaches Association) or Water Safety Instructor (American Red Cross)
  • Ability to stand for 8 to 10 hours
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
  • Ability to commute to Watertown, MA
  • Must have the ability to pass a background check

Nice To Haves

  • Possessing 1+ years of water aerobics or supervising experience is a plus!
