About The Position

Midtown is looking for an Aquatics Instructor to add to our first class organization. The Position As an integral part of the aquatics team, our Aquatics Instructors inspire members through movement, community, and personal attention. They encourage active, social, and healthier lives by: Demonstrating sound leadership, professionalism, resilience, and optimism Developing and maintaining aquatics areas to promote an enjoyable experience Developing, delivering, and measuring aquatics programs Managing swim teams, line ups and work-outs Attend away competition meets Promoting and providing private lessons Available to help with additional lessons and group lessons Rate at $19.75 per hour. Our Aquatics Instructors: Have a swim team and swim competition background Have swim coach experience with water safety instruction experience Possess a current lifeguard and water safety instructor certifications (American Red Cross preferred) Possess a New York State coaching degree or certificate, or a USA Swimming coaches certificate. Possess ability to provide multisensory instruction: auditory, visual, tactile, kinesthetic Demonstrate effective written, verbal and physical communication skills with the ability to deliver information clearly, concisely, and timely. Requirements

  • Have a swim team and swim competition background
  • Have swim coach experience with water safety instruction experience
  • Possess a current lifeguard and water safety instructor certifications (American Red Cross preferred)
  • Possess a New York State coaching degree or certificate, or a USA Swimming coaches certificate.
  • Possess ability to provide multisensory instruction: auditory, visual, tactile, kinesthetic
