About The Position

University of Louisville Physicians is seeking an Urgent Care Advanced Nurse Practitioner to care for patients of all ages throughout Louisville. KY. We desire highly skilled and experienced candidates committed to teamwork, communication, empowerment, and quality of care for patients of all ages. The full-time APRN position is a float opportunity to care for patients throughout our seven locations around the Louisville area.

Requirements

A degree from an accredited University, board certification, and eligibility for licensure in Kentucky are required.
Be able to see and treat patients of all ages.
Possess knowledge to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities. This includes symptoms, treatment alternatives, drug properties and interactions, and preventive health-care measures.
Should have a working knowledge of EMR systems.
Have excellent judgment and discretion, the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
Be a team player with a "can-do" attitude that can work in a fast-paced, customer-service-driven environment.
Ability to work independently and productively with minimum supervision.
Shifts are 12 hours from 8 am to 8 pm.
There is a weekend rotation requirement.

Nice To Haves

Family or emergency medicine training is preferred.
Familiarity with Epic is preferred; however, onsite EMR training will be provided.

Responsibilities

The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) provides assessment, management and outcome evaluation for patients in inpatient and outpatient settings.
The APRN serves as a resource to educate patients, families, professional nurses, and staff
Functions as a liaison between patient, family and UofL Physicians staff
Participates in clinical research.
