Job Title: Apprentice Technician Job Function & Purpose: Use of mechanical knowledge and skills to maintain and repair agricultural equipment including tractors, hay and forage, and Ag implements. Qualifications o Some knowledge of equipment, implements, and tools; including their designs, and uses o Ability to listen, learn, and apply acquired training skills o Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve o Ability to understand customer needs and issues o Arm-Hand Steadiness, Manual Dexterity, and Coordination o Strong attention to detail Working Conditions o Heat factors in summer months / Cold factors in winter months o Requires some outdoor activity o May be exposed to contaminants, pollutants, and gases o Sound levels may be loud due to drills and machinery Responsibilities: As an Apprentice Technician, you are responsible to complete all service jobs as assigned by the Service Manager and Shop Foreman, to assist Journeyman Technicians as needed, and to advance your technical skill set as to provide customers with a high value of competent service labor. Principal & Essential Duties: The principle & essential duties of the Apprentice Technician consist of, but are not limited to the following: 1. Conduct Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) on inbound equipment 2. Perform preventative maintenance including fluid and filter changes 3. Make light repairs and adjustments COMPENSATION – FLSA Standard is Non-Exempt Hourly Rate of Pay: DOE / Skill level Wage Scale for skill level advancement Qualifications
