ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Works and assists alongside an assigned technician to learn to perform quality vehicle service maintenance and repairs. Performs safety inspections, oil changes, lubrication work, basic maintenance, and minor repairs as directed. Apprentice technicians need to communicate with their team and demonstrate safety practices and knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations of the automotive industry. Apprentice technicians need to understand and comply with company policies and rules, this includes complying with safety policies and procedures, Safe Driving policies, and with the Safeguard policies. Delivers customer cars safely to and from service stalls as requested by technicians Picks up parts from the parts department as directed by technicians. Replenishes supplies as requested by technicians or service manager. Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor. Maintain the workshops area clean and organized Attends training classes and departmental meetings. Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner. Keeps up with all Manufacturer training, safety compliance training, OEM training, and security on a timely basis. Maintains a professional appearance. ADDITIONAL DUTIES: Other duties as assigned by the Service Manager or Chief Operating Officer.
