Ameresco has a new opportunity for an Apprentice Plumber with a strong mechanical aptitude and desire to learn to join our Federal Operations and Maintenance team based in Anchorage, Alaska .

Requirements

  • High school diploma or the equivalent is required.
  • Experience or interest in commercial Plumbing service and installation.
  • Working towards Journeyman’s Plumbers certification.
  • Physical ability to bend, reach, climb, and lift 45+ lbs. without assistance.
  • Willing to work flexible hours and days (i.e., up to 12-hour days and/or weekends).
  • Will be required to travel to remote locations.
  • Must be able to drive, pass a drug test and background check.
  • Will be required to travel to work locations.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of trade school or Vocational High School Diploma desired.
  • Self-starter who is able to work in a team environment and able to follow verbal instructions.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft office suite (Word, Outlook, etc).
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to multi-task, follow through, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, test, and repair plumbing and HVAC mechanical systems, related piping systems, and control valves, and all other related equipment, in accordance with plumbing codes.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction and exceed customers’ expectations.
  • Able to keep up with book work and testing for the apprentice program.
  • Ability to travel to remote locations for extended periods of time to support construction operations.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
