Our team is small, skilled, and driven by the belief that better tools lead to better outcomes. We’re looking for a Machinist Apprentice to join our growing shop. This role is ideal for someone early in their machining career with hands-on experience running CNC lathes and eager to continue developing their skills under the guidance of experienced machinists. This is not a journeyman-level role. Instead, it’s an opportunity to grow, learn, and build confidence while contributing to real, high-quality work in a supportive environment.

Requirements

Apprentice Machinist or early-career Machinist (formal apprenticeship an asset, not required)
Some hands-on experience running CNC lathes in a shop environment
Basic understanding of machining principles, materials, and tooling
Ability to read and follow drawings and instructions
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC lathes (with support as needed) to produce precision components
Assist with manual machining tasks and secondary operations
Read and interpret basic blueprints, drawings, and work orders
Load programs, set tooling, and make minor offsets under supervision
Inspect parts using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
Support journeyman machinists with job setup, tooling, and workflow
Maintain machines, tools, and a clean, safe work area
Learn best practices for quality control, efficiency, and continuous improvement
