About The Position

Applicants in this position will be registered in the DOL Apprentice program and be required to complete coursework through the Merchant's program. Previous linework experience and school completion may be given as credit into the program. Canadian Valley Electric Cooperative is building a team for a transformation in utility operations. Requirements

  • Ability to troubleshoot and have strong critical thinking skills.
  • Exhibit excellent customer service.
  • Ability to learn and maintain a high level of technical information and education in regard to High Voltage Linework.
  • Knowledge or ability to learn the operation of heavy machine equipment (trencher, backhoe, basket truck, etc.)
  • Exhibit a habit of continuous learning.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of applicable traffic laws and rules governing safe driving practices.
  • Ability to meet testing and hour requirements for the Registered Apprentice Lineman program.
  • Have and maintain a CDL Class A driver’s license.
  • This position has a residency requirement of 30 minute drive time of the Seminole office (11277 N Hwy 99 Seminole, Ok). Applicants that live outside of the mile radius will have 6 months from hire date to move within the requirement.
  • Qualified applicants must have a High School diploma or GED.
  • Applicant must also pass pre-employment DOT physical, background check, and, DOT drug screen.
