Liatrio is a boutique DevOps consulting firm aiming to help enterprises deliver software faster, safer and more efficiently. We do this by working with leadership and hands-on-keyboard engineers to uplift people and process. We have helped lead DevOps transformations in different industries anywhere from financial institutions to healthcare providers. We are a small company that makes a big impact, so get ready to dig in and innovate! Why Apprentice at Liatrio? At Liatrio our apprenticeship program is an important investment in the future of our company. As apprentices learn skills that will help them finish school (yes, professors are impressed when you create an automated pipeline for your capstone project) and prepare for their career, they also become ideal candidates for a full-time position at Liatrio. Liatrio is able to cultivate talented engineers by equipping them with modern engineering methodology and business skills which puts them far ahead of their peers. Junior Liatrio engineers also avoid a purely software development track at large corporations, where there is a heavy reliance on legacy technologies and practices which expose them to software development antipatterns and a high rate of burnout due to bureaucracy. Because of the value of the apprenticeship program Liatrio does not hire graduating students outside of the apprenticeship program. Over 80% of apprentices join Liatrio full time and help build the future of Liatrio! What Liatrio Apprentices Do As an Apprentice DevOps Engineer at Liatrio, you will learn how to improve the software delivery of enterprise organizations. With a focus on the tools, processes, and culture needed to transform these organizations to be high-performing, modernized software companies, this is a career-building opportunity to gain industry insight at the broadest level. Your goal will be to learn how to be a change agent that can show others the Liatrio way of DevOps and prepare for a full-time position with Liatrio when you graduate. This is a year-long paid apprenticeship which is intended to coincide with the last two semesters of school before graduation. Our office in downtown Chico makes it easy to work around school schedules and provide a collaborative hands-on work experience. We expect students to work 15-20 hours per week during the semesters and 30-40 hours per week when classes are not in session. What Liatrio Apprentices Learn The apprenticeship combines hands-on learning exercises and practical experience working on internal projects to build the skills needed to start a career as a DevOps Engineer. Apprentices collaborate with other apprentices and with full-time Liatrio engineers to experience working as part of a fully collaborative team and gain practical real-world experience with some of the most in-demand tools and methodologies in the IT industry.
