Performs all work and learning assignments related to the cybersecurity apprentice team assignment, and areas of focus of that team. Remote/hybrid work - we may hire out of state workers where state laws allow. Essential Functions Cyber Fusion Center – Assists Cybersecurity analysts in and learns about security monitoring, hunting for cyber threats, and assessing cyber vulnerabilities Skills Communication Time management Accountability and reliability Professionalism Broadened perspective Collaboration (group work) Critical thinking and problem solving Job Specific Schedule is 24/7/365 For this position looking to fill a Sunday - Wednesday shift from 06:00-16:00. This is flexible and can consider people who want to work nights/weekends Remote work is allowed. Requirements

  • Completion of High School Diploma or GED, or ability to complete GED within 12 months
  • For roles that require travel, a valid driver's license or the ability to travel within the Intermountain system. (Position may often require individual to travel between facilities to provide support)
  • Awareness of Cybersecurity methods and techniques of information systems

Nice To Haves

  • Fusion Center CompTIA A+ type skills
  • General understanding of computer/network administration practices
  • Preferred onsite work in the Security Operations Center
  • Pursuing a cybersecurity industry certification
  • Examples of relevant certifications: Having or pursuing a CompTIA Security+ Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) GIAC Certified Penetration Tester GSEC: SANS GIAC Security Essentials ISACA CSX Cybersecurity Fundamentals
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity detection and incident response methodologies.
  • Experience in a SOC or CSIRT team is a plus
