Primary Function The Appraisal Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Corporate Appraisal Department. The department oversees all ordered and completed appraisals for Direct to Consumer, Retail, and TPO channels and ensures all compliance aspects have been met. The Appraisal Coordinator works together with several departments as necessary, including Underwriting, Processing, and Production. The Appraisal Coordinator is one of the few people within the company with the authority to contact an appraiser directly.

Requirements

  • High-school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years’ related experience.
  • Must possess the ability to work efficiently and accurately.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be detail-oriented and demonstrate careful decision-making skills.
  • Team player with strong communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • All employees are required to have smart phones that meet Company security standards with the ability to install apps such as Microsoft Authenticator. Employment will be contingent on this requirement.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the mortgage industry a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Ordering and managing of the company’s VA (Veterans Affairs) appraisal orders.
  • Delivering appraisals to the borrowers.
  • Entry of appraisal data into Destiny, Newrez’ Loan Operating System.
  • Reviewing transferred appraisals for risk and compliance.
  • Performs related duties as assigned by management.
