About The Position

Where You’ll Work CHI Health, now part of CommonSpirit Health formed between Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health, includes 150+ clinics delivering quality care to patients across Nebraska and southeast Iowa. Our full-service network provides a variety of Primary Care & Priority Care Services, including Family, Internal, Geriatric, and Pediatric Medicine, in addition to several specialties to deliver custom care based on the unique needs of our patients. Job Summary and Responsibilities To be successful in this role, you will possess exceptional interpersonal skills, technological proficiency, genuine compassion for patient well-being, and an adaptable, patient approach to facilitating a positive experience for all. As a Clinic Receptionist, you will be the welcoming heart of our clinic, creating a comforting and efficient environment for every patient journey. Every day, you will expertly manage patient reception, coordinate essential administrative tasks, leverage technology for seamless operations, and thoughtfully guide diverse patient populations, ensuring they feel at ease and understand their care instructions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Knowledge of insurance authorization/billing requirements.
  • Demonstrate strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Knowledge of clinic procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism.
  • A team player who handles multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Patient Check-in at the time of visit and complete all paperwork necessary to ensure the admitting process is efficient and all clinic and regulatory policies are in compliance.
  • Answer phone calls and direct them appropriately.
  • Schedule appointments according to office guidelines.
  • Obtain accurate patient and insurance information, collecting copays (TOS) and deductible amounts.
  • Copy/scan patient access related hardcopy materials (e.g.ID, referrals, insurance cards, etc.) into the correct location in the electronic medical record.
  • Prepare charts for patient appointments making sure all necessary information is complete.
