About The Position

Intermountain Farmers Association (IFA) is a regional farm supply co-op with diverse operations including feed production, agronomy services, and retail stores throughout the intermountain west. We are currently seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Applicator/CDL Driver at the IFA Agronomy Center in Cedar City, Utah. RESPONSIBILITIES: Loading and mixing fertilizer and pesticide formulas. Ability to follow and interpret fertilizer and pesticide labels. Performing all applications in a timely manner and on schedule. Maintaining application logs and other records as necessary. Reading field maps and global positioning devices. Working around and handling hazardous materials properly. Performing daily inspection of equipment and minor repairs as needed. Willingness to work extended hours as needed during the busy season will frequently include 12-14 hour shifts during the springtime rush. Delivering products to growers when not applicating

Requirements

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Must have and be able to maintain a current CDL license with the ability to drive applicator equipment.
• Current pesticide license required or the ability to obtain if hired.
• Able to lift 50 lbs. and/or 5 gallon cans of liquid frequently during shift.
• Able to calculate discounts, percentages, and liquid and solid measurements using basic math skills.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written and oral form.
• Must be detail-oriented and self-motivated.

Nice To Haves

• 3 years of applicator experience beneficial but not required.
