Health benefits and 401(k) Powerful team looking forward to working with you About the Role Reporting to the Regional Business Manager, the Applications Specialist is responsible for field service support for a concentrated portfolio of wastewater treatment customers across Long Island. This role includes chemical delivery coordination, minor maintenance, troubleshooting, wastewater sampling, data management, and customer engagement. You’ll work closely with the Account Manager and internal teams including Supply Chain, Field Services, and Project Engineering. 📍Location: Long Island, NY. Ideally Hempstead or Mineola, NY. This is a remote, field-based position. Note: This position requires a final in person interview onsite. In this role, a typical day will look like: Coordinating and meeting chemical deliveries. Performing minor mechanical and electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and basic repairs. Conducting wastewater sampling, field testing, and data management/documentation. Managing day-to-day customer needs and providing responsive field support. Overseeing logistical aspects of chemical ordering and delivery alignment. Daily travel to different customer sites within Long Island territory.

Requirements

  • 5 years of relevant technical experience (field service, plant operations, electrical/mechanical background, wastewater, HVAC controls, or similar).
  • Experience with metering pumps (diaphragm and/or peristaltic).
  • Experience with chemical storage and dosing systems, including handling oxidizers and corrosives.
  • Experience with PLC troubleshooting
  • Ability to perform basic mechanical and electrical maintenance and minor repairs in the field.
  • Comfort with daily fieldwork and variable schedules (not office-based).
  • Valid driver’s license.
